Microsoft Lawyers Start to Sweep Up Word Mess

Microsoft has taken a predictable step in response to an injunction issued in the patent infringement lawsuit brought by i4i. It has moved for a stay of the order, which would allow it to continue selling its popular Word software while it develops a work-around, negotiates a settlement, or prepares for an all-out court battle -- probably the least-likely strategy.
