The Camaro spectacle

I've never been a Camaro fan, and didn't care much for the styling of the new Camaro when it came out. Of the recent retro muscle cars, for me it is first the Dodge Challenger, then Ford Mustang, and finally the Chevy Camaro. But those preferences are mostly about looks. After spending a week with the Camaro, it really began to grow on me. It attracted plenty of attention, which was fun, especially when I found myself being paced by a souped-up '78 Camaro belching black exhaust out of its tail pipes. Although we had only the V-6 Camaro, that's the same engine I liked so much in the Cadillac CTS. It delivers plenty of power, along with good fuel economy. Although navigation is lacking (not counting OnStar), it had Bluetooth phone and iPod integration, two features that should be standard on every car now.

As much as we like cars, we like being able to get out of them alive even more. From tech that helps you avoid a crash (like Bluetooth hands-free and rearview cameras) to tech that helps you survive one (crumple zones and airbags), automakers cram modern-day vehicles to the gills with safety features that we often take for granted. A Gran Turismo 5 feature wish

Now that online is such a major part of these games, it would be nice to be able to have a "team" of drivers that could work together to beat the game. I love the new first-person shooters that let me play co-op on them, and I would like to see a racing game do the same. What do you think? Would you like to team up with your online friends to beat a game like this or would you rather beat it all on your own?  Read more
