PS3's standby and off modes, (virtually) separated at birth
Recently, my fiancee pleaded with me to start turning my PlayStation 3 off when it's not in use. Since the red standby light was on, she contended, the unit must be drawing significantly more power than if the unit was simply switched off via the power switch on the back. Read more

I'm looking for a game...
Posted by foolygoofy
I'm looking for a game, I date it back to 1999 or so. It was based on World War II, you were in charge of a unit, and you would order soldiers to move or take certain actions. The view was like command and conquer or Empire Earth, a view from the sky. In the game the units will be affected by behavior, sometimes a soldier would get scared and not take orders and just run or stay in position not doing a thing. The goal was to eliminate the enemy and the game took your unit personal, once you had a soldier from the unit selected, it would show a face, behavior, or feeling status, weapon, etc.

Anybody remember it or recommend me something like it?  Read more
