This article draws on two discrete data sets: BI deployments of over 270
respondents in an Aberdeen Group April 2009 benchmark report; and the
telecom lifecycle management solutions of 140 respondents in a March
2009 benchmark report. This data will be used to contextualize the value
of integrated business intelligence functionalities and their ability to
drive additional cost savings.

Comcast, Time Warner Push 'TV Everywhere' - for a Price
The cable industry's new rallying cry may indeed be "TV Everywhere," as
announced Wednesday by Comcast and Time Warner executives. However, TV
arguably is already everywhere -- on the Web, on your smartphone, on
your Xbox 360. Perhaps what Brian Roberts and Jeff Bewkes really meant
to announce was "Pay TV Everywhere."

US to China: Green Dam Won't Pass Muster With WTO
The Obama administration filed its first official complaint about China
to the World Trade Organization on Tuesday, and it was all about steel,
aluminum and access to raw materials. Its second complaint may focus on
software, PCs and access to the Internet. U.S. trade officials have sent
a letter to their Chinese counterparts, asking them to back off on their
Green Dam demands.

Jobs' Return to Apple Is Path Strewn With Controversy
The public relations strategists at Apple might want to consider a job
in politics for their next gig: It is rare for any company to be so
deliberately opaque with information essential to stockholders -- and
still manage to stay on this side of the law. Indeed, the company's
recent disclosure that CEO Steve Jobs was back at work was a thing of
Machiavellian beauty.
