Top 5 Reasons for Building Governance Into the Cloud (44:34 minutes)
Proper service governance is critical for businesses to modernize and
prosper in cloud computing operations. Major vendors are already
recognizing this need and reflecting it in their product offerings.

Today's Story Highlights
Wikipedia and the Kidnapped Reporter: Censor or Savior?
For seven months, New York Times reporter David Rohde was held by
Taliban kidnappers. During his captivity, both his newspaper and
Wikipedia kept quiet about his plight. Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales
reportedly agreed to a request from The New York Times to delete all
references to the kidnapping on Rohde's Wikipedia entry.

Why Business Transaction Management Is Hot in 2009
Business transaction management has been getting a lot of attention
lately: IT organizations want it, and every major vendor in systems and
performance management has rushed to claim they do it. The promise of
BTM is to finally be able to manage IT from a business perspective and
make sense of the complexity of modern applications.

iPhone OS 3.0: The Delight Is in the Details
As most iPhone owners already know, the iPhone rocks. More importantly,
what makes it come alive isn't so much the svelte touchscreen form
factor but the software. The great thing about the iPhone is Apple's
dedication to improving it, and Apple's third major version of its
iPhone operating system is definitely an improvement.

Toyota Wheelchair Guided by Thought Alone
U.S. automakers have spent a lot of time lately wondering whether
someone can think up a solution for their economic woes. Meanwhile, one
of their Japanese counterparts is using brainpower in a different way:
to control the movement and direction of a wheelchair. Researchers at
Toyota have announced the development of a new brain-machine interface
that can allow a person to steer a wheelchair with brain waves.

Will PlayStation Play the Cellphone Game?
If you're working your thumbs into a carpal-tunnel frenzy on your Sony
PlayStation Portable, navigating the blood and gore of the company's
successful gaming franchise "God of War," do you really want to
interrupt the mayhem to take a phone call from Mom? Sony may soon get an
answer to that question.

Toasted iPhone 3GS Rumors Spreading Like Wildfire
The iPhone 3GS may be selling like hotcakes, but some users are saying
that's not where the comparison ends -- and it's just the latest in a
string of complaints about Apple's newest gadget. Temperatures rose over
AT&T's initial attitude toward iPhone users who wanted a subsidized 3GS
upgrade before their contracts were up for renewal.
