App Testing From the Comfort of the Cloud (23:25 minutes)
Organizations are starting to see that using a cloud approach to testing
can serve to better accommodate demand dynamics. There's even been a
shift in the actual approach to development. Instead of gathering up
bushels of code for one big build, developers are taking a more agile

Today's Story Highlights
At Home in the Virtual Office
Today's volatile economy is pushing more companies to consider the
merits of a virtual workplace for some or all of their employees. Often,
however, the idea fails to go anywhere because neither managers nor
their workers are sure how to get started. Also, attitudes among some
old-school managers pose hurdles that block workers from pursuing
virtual workplace opportunities.

Coaching a Killer Sales Force
With a variety of options available for training their revenue-seeking
professionals, today's sales leaders need to carefully select the
methodology that will most directly impact their bottom line. Ongoing
Aberdeen research of over 500 companies surveyed in July and August of
2009 provides significant insight into how Best-in-Class organizations
select and deploy sales training modalities.

There's Gold in China's Green Tech Potential
China potentially could be a $500-billion-to-$1-trillion-a-year market
for environmentally sustainable "green technologies," a group of
businesses and experts said in a report Thursday that urges governments
to ease the way for such initiatives. The report by the China Greentech
Initiative pinpointed opportunities from 300 potential green technology
options for China.

Swedish Exchange Keelhauls Would-Be Pirate Bay Buyer
The would-be buyer of Swedish file-sharing Web site The Pirate Bay has
been kicked out of the smallcap stock exchange Aktietorget for
misleading the market, the Swedish trading platform said Wednesday.
Aktietorget said Global Gaming Factory X breached its transparency
principles by saying the financing of The Pirate Bay acquisition was
secured.

Next Chapter in Google Books Deal Could Be a Long One
September is shaping up to be a crucial time for the future of Google's
much-vaunted digital library. The month has already seen a flood of
briefs on a proposed settlement in the lawsuit filed by authors and
publishers over Google's effort to digitize the world's books. Next
week, the U.S. Justice Department is expected to weigh in on whether it
thinks Google's efforts are anticompetitive.
