Restoring phone to factory setting

Hi, my friend gave me an LG Voyager, and I was wondering if I could just go to the settings and restore it to factory settings. It says the phone will need to be restored if I do, but does that mean that his account will be off it, too? Or will he have to go in and cancel it himself, and then I create my own?  Read more
