Yahoo Goes DIY With Redesigned Homepage

Yahoo showed off a redesigned homepage Tuesday, featuring colorful icons, popular search topics, and new avenues for advertising. Unlike the simpler home sites of Google or Bing, Yahoo's search bar is still accompanied by an assortment of other information, and the menu can be customized by the user -- but how much customization do users really demand from their search engine?
